Thought I'd start with what I carry.

Workdays- Alternate between a black chromed Bulgarian military Makarov with custom-made wood grips by John Mahler, pink ivory target grips with big palm swells and a Sig P230 9x18 Ultra(police), black chromed with Hogue rubber finger grooves. Both use the same holster, Mika pocket holster, round cut, closed-end. Carried IWB CD.

Weekends- Arcus 98 DAC with no mods. Usually carried in a Safepacker although it's been known to use also a Bianchi vertical shoulder holster, the X-15 as it is now called.

Carry loads on all until I start mixing my own---Stars and Stripes ammo.

Those guns sound really nice, you might need to share some pics later Tongue

I have one pistol that I use for my CCW, although I eventually plan on getting other guns for different situations.

I have a Glock 19 (9mm), with the night sites.  Ported.  Not sure on the holster it is a nylon one that has a spot for an extra clip.  I do not always have it on my person but have it where it can normally be accessed easily.  CCW permit cuts a lot of red tape BS.

I would like to eventually get a subcompact glock or something that I can put in my pocket and carry easier.  As the 19 is a bit harder to hide.

As far as ammo, I carry what I shoot normally and my gun eats any ammo that I put through it so far.  This includes WWB, WOLF, CCI.  I have contemplated using hollow points, but am pretty confident with what I shoot.

I really don't understand people's aversions to Glocks. It is as reliable as they come, light as possible, modifications are available to suit everyone's taste and they go bang when needed. Sure, not exactly  pretty as a swan but the way I see it, the most beautiful gun in the world is the one that helps you get out of trouble. All in the eye of the gunholder which will continue to be.  Smiley

As for me, if SHTF, I'll take a Glock 17 anyday.

Can't find the 'modify post' feature. So I'll try again to post the image.

Nice looking guns jehzsa. I trade off. Sometimes I carry a Glock 17 and sometimes a 1911 45 auto. More often the Glock.

My off-duty guns are:

-HK P7 9x19mm
-Glock 36 .45 ACP
-Ruger SP101 2 1/4" DAO .357 Magnum
-S&W 37-2 Airweight .38 Special (my on and off-duty BUG)

I carry the HK and SP in Milt Sparks VM2 holsters, I use a Threat Solutions UCR for the Glock, and a Kramer pocket holster or Galco ankle rig for the S&W.  I carry Gold Dots in the HK (124 grain +P), the SP (125 grain full-power), and S&W (135 grain +P), and Winchester Ranger T in the Glock (230 grain).  As much as I trust my own handloads, I carry factory ammo for defense due to policy and legal concerns.

Mostly I carry the HK or SP101 and S&W.  The Glock is my "travel" gun.  I carry it sometimes locally, but when I fly I always take the Glock along.  Its the easiest to replace if the airline "loses" it.  I do really like those big bullets too.

At my part-time job I carry my own S&W M&P45 .45ACP, also with Winchester Ranger T 230 grain.  My full-time department issued me a Beretta 96FS .40 S&W with 180 grain Gold Dots, which is what I carry (only because I have no other choice, I'd carry the M&P45 there too if I could).

I mainly carry a Glock 23, in a highnoon IWB holster. With Hornady Tap Rnds. With an extra mag.

When its a quick trip and weight is not an issue I carry a Springfield 1911, in a Wilson Summer Companion IWB. With Hornady Tap Rnds. With 2 extra mags. I love my .45

Only problem I have is getting use to my 1911 grip angle after I shoot my Glock for awhile. I do my primary shooting with it since it is my primary carry pistol. But it's always fun to get back into shooting the 1911

I carry a full size Smith and Wesson M&P .40 in a blackhawk close quarter combat holster at about 2 o'clock. It's a little tricky to hide, but I'm a big enough guy it blends in.

I've got a Kahr P9 on order (huge thanks to Kahr for their NRA Instructor discounts!), I'll be carrying that in a Crossbreed holster once it comes in.

I've thought about the Glocks, they just aren't my thing. Nothing at all wrong with them, just not my style.
