I have to say that my favorite make of 22 rifle is the Ruger 10/22.

This thing has so many aftermarket mods and is pretty reliable and well built.  I think that it is a great value for the money.

I'd like to actually buy more than one eventually so that I can have different variations.

My current 10/22 has the Butler Creek Folding Pistol Grip stock.  I also have some butler creek 30 round magazines for it.  Sling and 22 scope.  I would however like to upgrade to a higher powered scope.

The next 10-22 that I buy will most likely be setup with the bull barrel and more as a target gun, focusing on extreme accuracy.

How about everyone else?  What is your favorite 22 model?

I really like my Walther P22 and Sig Sauer Mosquito.  I think the Mosquito is a better gun, but much more picky about the ammo selection.  The Walther will eat anything.

For rifles, I love the Mossberg 22's from yester-year.  Marlin and Henry make some great 22 rifles also.

There is a Ruger 22 LR pistol that I'd like to get one day.  It will have to sit on the backburner for now though.

I have a Ruger 22 pistol 5.5" bull barrel. What I like about it is it will eat anything I feed it and it has been a very accurate gun. I use it to shoot in a 22 Bullseye league. I have a Marlin 22 bolt action rifle but would like to get a Ruger 10/22

I have my tried and true Browning Buckmark I bought back in 1987.  Still the tackdriver it was when I bought it...  Grin

I also still have my first rifle, a Marlin model 15 single-shot I bought in 1985.  I have a 10/22 and a Remington 572 Fieldmaster also, but the M15 will outshoot them.  The 10/22 is fun and versatile but it's weak link is it's crappy trigger.

Rifle is a ruger 10/22 that I have had since the early 80's. Used to shoot armadillos with it to keep them from making holes in the pasture. Still shoots great. Thirty round clip makes it fun.

Pistol is a new 6" barrel neos with red dot site mounted. I just got it for cheaper target shooting & it is very accurate and eats any ammo I have put through it with no problems.

Ive always wanted a Henry lever 22. I bought two Marlin semi-autos instead.

They are both fine small game killin machines.

Ive never had a fancy for handguns, nor a use for them.

Browning Buckmark.  This one followed me home about 15 years ago, and has taught DOZENS of people to shoot, including several of my kids.

As for the perfect 22 rifle..............I'm still looking.

I've got a Sears 2200 rifle I bought while in high school a little over 30 years ago. It's beat to heck and not very accurate but you know how some of those types of guns can grow on you. I put together a 10/22 last year that cost me so much I don't even want to think about it but it's incredibly accurate. My Ruger single six and bearcat are my favorite pistols and get used by my kids pretty often, those are some fun guns.
