It looks like the whole Iran thing is simmering down.

Personally I was hoping that the protesters would actually accomplish something.  Apparently the opposition leader is trying to make amends to the Iranian leaders, claiming that he would seek "permits" before protesting in the future.

Pretty sad if you ask me, unless this is just more propaganda.

I had high hopes for some change. I do however predict Israel to still get involved if things stay the same.

Well, its at least good to know that a significant portion of the country is at the boiling point and doesn't fall in step with the government. Things like this take time and it really is up to the Iranians to work it through themselves. Certainly, this means that after the inevitable crackdown that is coming, the government and the Ayatollahs (sp?) are going to have to give more thought to the liberal/moderate portions of their constituents. That can't be a bad thing.

most likely it will need to get weapons to be successful, they cannot do what they need to by protests alone imho
