Hello all at the Forum; Could anyone tell me if the Lee dies fit into the Lyman presses? The Lyman dies have for size 7/8 " X 14 threads. I can"t seem to find any sizes for the Lee dies. Also, does .223 ammo, say using a 55 gr. bullet in a bolt action rifle need to be crimped ?? Thanks for any/all answers, and have a nice day ! Duker.

All commercial dies for standard calibers are 7/8 X 14, Lee included.  sme older dies only fit proprietary presses, but things have been pretty thoroughly standardized for quite awhile now.  Even Dillons use standard thread dies.

For use in a bolt action rifle, the neck of the .223 case will hold the bullet bearing surface firmly enough without crimping. also, only crimp bullets with a cannelure.

Chances are you don't need to crimp unless your loading for a lever action.
